The Clinic

Run by: Zach ([personal profile] medicalert)

Originally created by Ashe, after she left the City Zach has taken over the apartment building partially converted into a clinic.
There is a small garden with a fountain inside the building, the beginning of Ashe's "clean growth" experiments, and several basic recovery rooms, as well as a large kitchen.

The Grove

Run by: Luthien ([personal profile] luthien_tinuviel)

A small, protected patch of forest that has been cleansed of the local taint. Luthien lives in a small cabin there and some of the local werewolves use it as a haven for their full moon runs.

Wolf's Church

Run by: Wolf ([personal profile] afterthefire)

Wolf's lair is an abandoned church sitting on a small park square, set back from the street by a small lawn and wrought iron fencing, with a long walkway leading up to massively heavy, wooden double doors. It's been empty for several years now after being foreclosed on, and the rectory and maintenance buildings that were originally part of the grounds have since been broken up and sold as separate residences. It's in good repair for having been closed for so long, due at least in part to Wolf's attention to maintenance.

The west side of the church is one story, and is a row of offices, small classrooms, and a decent-sized kitchen. Most of the rooms are empty, but Wolf has converted a couple of them to makeshift living and storage spaces, enough for them to be serviceable. The bell tower is kept in good repair, but there's no easy access to it, and Wolf is happy to let people think that it's not in use.

The chapel is the largest mass of the building, with a full balcony choir loft. Most of it is intact, including the pews, though it's been cleaned out of most everything else.

The basement is a large, open space that Wolf has done very little with thus far, focusing his attention on the upper levels except for securing the downstairs thoroughly and creating an extra sleep space.

On the grounds, there are several entrances to the underground. It's not recommended that a casual explorer venture into the tunnels: Wolf has taken several precautions against unexpected visitors, with both blockades and, for the less easily discouraged, a few creatively vicious traps.

The Office

Run by: Sharpe ([personal profile] sharpervision)

Sharpe's safehouse is a two story garage that's been thoroughly stocked and reinforced. The ground floor is mostly open, a two-car repair space with two large storage closets and an office. On the second floor, on a balcony, are a couple more offices that have been set up as sleeping quarters/general purpose rooms/storage, until Sharpe can get around to figuring out what else to do with them besides a futon or two.

Sharpe spends most of his time at a desk in the garage area, where he has his extra computer set up along with an ottoman for his leg. Chain link fencing has been put up to block off some of the space, and all the rooms have been reinforced so that they can be barricaded securely. A small basic workshop and first aid station have been set up, and a few extra folding camp cots, blankets, sleeping bags, and folding dividers mean that several people can crash there in an emergency. Sharpe hasn't furnished much, but there's a couple of good, heavy couches and a kitchen corner, as well as an industrial sink and small shower.

Due to the modifications, there's only room to pull one vehicle in, but the garage doors can be raised and lowered if needed. They're just usually kept chained and bolted for security. The lift supports from the mechanic's shop are still there, but all the other tools and machinery are long gone except for a few oil-and-parts-brand stickers stuck on the windows, half-visible under the grates that Sharpe's installed.

Sharpe occasionally stays at the safehouse during the day when it's been a long night and he's just too tired to go home, so keeping the place stocked and comfortable benefits him as well as providing a general crisis center.

The Red Doors

Run by: Misc

Sharpe and other members of the community have taken it upon themselves to set up several emergency locations within the city, small apartments equipped with basic necessities to act as shelters for newcomers or regulars in need of a place to crash. Each location has signs or markers, the main telling one being the door that's...yes, painted red.

Inside each apartment are minimal basics for a night or two of rest: bottled water and canned food, blankets and bare-bones furniture, some makeshift weapons (bats, tire irons, etc), and a fairly decent first aid kit. Though small, the windows and locks are secure, giving people a place to lay low during the night time, or rest during the day.

The patrol groups make fairly regular rounds to make sure that the saferooms are stocked and to handle any necessary repairs.

Novak's Books

Run by: Jimmy Novak ([personal profile] empty_vessel)

It's a little bookstore, tucked in next to a deli and about a block down from Rick's Bar. A little sign hanging in the front window reads 'Open by Appointment, please contact J. Novak for arrangements.' And inside is a wild assortment of first editions, rare books and random odds and ends.

If Jimmy's in, he's wandering through the shelves, making notes about what exactly he's got. Including the shrunken head hanging by the desk. Jimmy says it's the landlord and it's willing to forgoe the rent in exchange for room and board. Security is a heavy, solid door with two locks and a floor brace, and the windows have heavy shutters and bars that drop down behind. Jimmy was almost eaten and he's not in a hurry to give anything another crack at him.

The second floor is entirely storage, a dusty attic full of even more odds and ends. Cardboard boxes sitting on ironbound trunks, cobwebs, and the whole thing smelling like it hasn't been aired out in decades. The windows up here are much smaller, and are fitted with sturdy shutters. There's a dropdown ladder and trap door, which is deliberately kept just this side of 'too rusty and dirty to move'. Lots of noise and a slow lowering gives him advance warning if anything gets in that way.

Behind the counter is a small back room with a cot, a battery powered lantern (with extra batteries) and a minifridge. There's a milk crate with canned food (and can opener) next to it, and a cot against the far wall. Jimmy's got plenty of space to spare (he's working on converting the basement into a fallback panic room), and if he's in, the front light will be on and the single 'security' camera will be going so he'll know if he needs to open the door for guests.

Cas' Roadhouse

Run by: 2014!Castiel ([personal profile] straponmywings)

Cas' Roadhouse (full version with pictures)

Formerly Sunny's Bar. Cas has taken ownership and turned the bar into a Roadhouse. Open day and night, the Roadhouse doubles as a Safehouse for those in need and a meeting place for those who patrol the streets at night to take down monsters.

The main room features the bar, two pool tables, a dart board and a jukebox. The windows have been reinforced with chicken wire and also have shutters that can be battened down if need be. There are sigils and wards on the windows and walls.

There is also a small arsenal of weapons that can be used by those on patrol. Any weapon donations are welcome. He tries to keep the weapon stocks stable. First aid supplies are also available.

To the rear of the bar is a corridor with fully functional kitchen and a bathroom to the left. The bar's restrooms can also double up as wash areas for those taking shelter.

And two rooms to the right - a room with cots and supplies, and Cas' living quarters.

Hawk's Nest
Run by: Hawkeye ([personal profile] remembers_budapest)

There’s an old clock tower near the park. Has it always been there? Hard to say. Things tend to get fuzzy now and then if you look too hard at them. But the point is, it’s there now. The foundation is solid, nothing like old school brick and mortar with just enough marble to try and make it look classic. An entrance is around the back, possibly used for maintenance when it was brand new. While the door had once been old and half-off the hinges, there are signs of fresh work on it and it how hangs securely, reinforced with metal bars on the inside.

Wooden stairs move in a spiral up to the top of the tower. Those with sharp ears will notice that only a select few creak, and if you watch carefully, you can climb up without making a sound.

His living quarters are fairly spartan. A bed in the corner, a large heavy worktable and some basic equipment he’s been able to rig up to maintain his bow and supply of arrows. A coffee pot waits in the corner beside a smaller, faded linoleum table with a stack of supplies beneath the kitchen sink. One level up is a small bathroom and for those unafraid of heights, an access point to the roof where you can take in a bird’s eye view of the city proper.
